Measurements with frame: 65x75 cm Léon Jamin, born in Liège on November 22, 1872 and died in his hometown on November 22, 1944, was a Belgian post-impressionist painter, specializing in landscapes of the Campine and the Ardennes. Sixth child in a family of 14, he is the son of Ernest Joseph Jamin and Antoinette Henriette Frison. Student at the Academy of Liège with Adrien de Witte and Évariste Carpentier, with whom he worked in Campine. He also traveled to Spain and Provence. He often participated in exhibitions in Brussels and Liège in the 1920s and 1930s. His works are mainly exhibited at the Museum of Walloon Art in Liège. Oil painting on canvas.
