Flemish school of the 17th century. Oil on canvas. Dimensions cm h. 65x48, frame 74x57. Excellent state of preservation. The lively scene takes place on a threshing floor outside a farmhouse. A man throws a rival to the ground and prepares to kill him with a sword; the armed arm is held back by a woman who grabs him. The assaulted man is dressed only in a shirt, evidently caught by surprise. Several characters all around try to flee, while various furnishings are overturned on the ground.
