Polychrome majolica plaque, depicting a blue carriage with a coachman in red livery and pairs of white horses, saffron yellow background. The splendid chromatic rendering is accentuated by the monochrome background and the luster highlights. Melandri was among the undisputed masters of the revival of the luster technique. Perfect state of preservation.
