Pietro Melandri, Faenza, 25 July 1885 – Faenza, 24 October 1976. Polychrome majolica plaque, depicting a blue carriage with a coachman in a red livery and a pair of white horses, saffron yellow background. The splendid chromatic rendering is accentuated by the monochrome background and the luster highlights. Melandri was among the undisputed masters in the revival of luster technique. Perfect state of conservation.
