This beautiful sunset focuses on the artist's ability to communicate a deep sense of vast spaces and a strong feeling towards nature in this splendid landscape.
The sun is setting, the lake appears luminous like a mirror, a tree stands out higher than the others near it, and together they draw in our imagination a castle, a fortress or a watchtower.
A strong romanticism, which ignites the spirits, towards the hour of sunset. See photos A. B.E.
A curious and mysterious painting, the oxen confused with the vegetation, appear to us only after having observed carefully and we manage to see them in a sharp contrast with the luminosity of the water.
Considered the leader of the naturalism of Roman painting in the second half of the nineteenth century, Coleman knows, loves and interprets the views of the Roman countryside, a subject often present in his works.
