Portrait of a woman Oil painting on canvas from the first half of the 20th century. Attributed to Donnino Pozzi (Fontanellato, 5 October 1894 - Parma, 1946) He moved to Parma very young with his mother, two sisters and a brother, and had to learn a trade to help his family. In 1917 he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Parma, where he was a pupil of Daniele de Strobel. In 1928 he made a short stay in Paris and later fixed his residence in Milan, where he remained until 1940. He returned to Parma during the World War. He exhibited his works at the IV, V and VI Ussi Prize in Florence from 1924 to 1934. He took up the style of French painters, drawing inspiration above all from Courbet and Cézanne.
