Attributed to Donnino Pozzi (Fontanellato, October 5, 1894 – Parma, 1946)
He moved to Parma very young with his mother, two sisters and a brother, and had to learn a trade to help the family. In 1917 he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Parma, where he was a student of Daniele de Strobel. In 1928 he made a short stay in Paris and later settled in Milan, where he remained until 1940. He returned to Parma during World War II.
He exhibited his works at the IV, V and VI Ussi Prize in Florence from 1924 to 1934.
He took up the style of the French painters, inspired above all by Courbet and Cézanne.
