Measurements: artwork h 52 x 72 cm with frame h 50 x 100 cm Gianfranco Curandai Born in Florence in 1938, where he lived and worked, he began his artistic activity in 1963, attracted by the landscape that surrounds him and favored by the abilities that Mother Nature has reserved for him. Long inspired by the countryside around Florence and the heart of Chianti, he immortalized suggestive scenes of rural life and that ancient civilization on his canvases in the style of his Macchiaioli predecessors. A pure “plein air” painter, it is not difficult to meet him along the roads of the lush hills of Tuscany and in particular in the area so dear to him in the Valdarno. Invited to participate in various exhibitions, his works appear in national and foreign private collections.
