Madonna and child made of ivory, 18th century Indo-Portuguese manufacture of Goa. Madonna measures cm h. 34, notice board cm h. 59. Mounted within a rich wooden notice board made in the 19th century: fake stone lacquered base, uprights decorated with colored stones, carved and gilded molding and shelf. The coping is centered by an ivory plaque depicting Christ crucified between two legionaries, inscribed within an oval medallion decorated with colored stones. Excellent state of conservation.
