A similar painting is present at the castle of Chambord, in the rooms dedicated to the heirs of Henri-Charles-Ferdinand-Marie-Dieudonné d'Artois, duke of Bordeaux, count of Chambord, executed after 1850, when the Duchess of Parma still had only three children, depicts the duchess with her three children; although executed by another author, the same sons depicted seven years later in our painting are easily recognizable.
