Polychrome porcelain basin with jug. Manufacturer: Old Paris. Louis Philippe period and style, 1830-50.
Basin shaped with scrolls. Dimensions cm h. 8x35.5x29.5. Low-relief shells and side handles. Wide bands decorated in gold center a reserve with small gold decorations within a blue frame. The handles with stylized shells are decorated with gold bands on an apple green background; the same colors are used to decorate the low-relief shells, which also have a purple decoration underneath.
Jug made with Rococo style motifs: openwork, in relief, shaped. The same colors described for its basin are present in the various decorations. The jug is centered by two circular reserves, one on the front and the other on the back, decorated: one with a scene depicting two characters, a pilgrim kneeling in prayer in front of a votive shrine and a common woman with a jug on her head, against a wide landscape; the other with golden phytoform decorations. Perfect state of preservation.
